Camera Woes

This is my old camera.I've looked at a lot through this lens.
This ia my new camera.
I've seen quite a bit through this one too.
What's driving me crazy is . . .
this one doesn't quite work the way
this one did.
And the camera I own that works the best
is this little thing.
It's enough to drive a person to drink.
Oh wait.
Too late.

UPDATE: Searching the net to decide if I'll switch to a Nikon dslr, I found a review that explained WHY (oh why) Olympus consistently delivered softer images than anybody else.

It is a function of their automatic settings designed to compress highlights and shadows into a medium range so that the average photographer will get a usuable picture. Usually triggered by low-light or high contrast situations.

Big, god-damn, freakin' SIGH!

Which explains why I would get soft pictures then sharp pictures as I changed settings, not paying any attention to what I was doing, (give me a break, I'm used to film) just comparing the resultant images.

I oughta get testosterone credits for proceeding without reading the manual.

Searching But Not Finding

I got this idea from Fond of Snape.

Google searches that led to my blog.

coyote blue theme quotes -- Coyote Blue by Christopher Moore. A novel, nothing to do with moi.

slowest route to absorb medicine -- I hope they called the ambulance before stopping to read about the NAUGHTIEST PUPPY IN THE WORLD.

coyote who catholic schools -- who what in Catholic schools?

russian transvestites -- I followed this search and discovered they were looking for a dating service for Russian transvestites. HMM. I was looking for a Russian translation, became misdirected, blogged about it and now Russian transvestites looking for dates are directed to Coyote Underground. Golly.

dirt center -- I am not!

ecclesiastes 9:11 -- time and chance happeneth to everyoneth

most annoying sound in the world -- NAUGHTIEST PUPPY IN THE WORLD strikes again. Maybe she should get her own blog.

decorating with coyote -- what would that look like? A rock here. A sagebrush there. Nice cave in the back.

you know you live in montana if -- look outside, you won't have to wonder.

Image searches for -- a marmet, Jeanette Rankin, St Louis Arch, and Lord of the Rings -- I don't have any pictures of Lord of the Rings, although I may have mentioned naked Viggo a time or two.

And my very favorite -- how to pronounce Butte.

Here you go -- Party Hearty.

UPDATE - ONE DAY LATER
. . .

Because of this post, Coyote Underground is now the 2nd link offered when one searches for Russian transvestites out of 1,200,000 hits.

Perhaps, someday, I'll be Number 1.

Gender Bias

This is my knife. The blade is only 1 1/2 inches. It is a nice little lady of a knife.

Wednesday last, I drove my father to Home Depot to buy landscaping supplies. The only bundle of stakes, in the size he wanted, was perched on a pallet, on a shelf, above our heads. A female manager asked a VERY LARGE male co-worker to reach them down for us.

He tried, but the bundle was strapped to the pallet. "Do you have a knife?" he asked.

Woman manager -- no.

Dad -- apparently doesn't share his cutlery.

I handed the Large Young Man, my knife.

He cut open the bundle, lifted it down, closed the knife and tried to hand it back to Dad.

Excuse me, that's mine.

He looked at me like I was a green-haired Goth with three tits and a limp before reluctantly handing the knife back to me.

That's right, boy.

Female.

Armed.

Keep it in mind.

Friday Fill-Ins

1. Two of my favorite ingredients in a drink are RUM and MORE RUM!

2. PEOPLE IN GROUPS often amaze me. And not in a good way.

3. You can keep doing that forever, the dog is IGNORING YOU BECAUSE SHE'S A TERRIER, AND TERRIERS KNOW BEST.

4. RUM, SUGAR, LIME, FRESH MINT, TONIC, mix it all together and voila! You have AMBROSIA! A mojito, I mean. A good martini is in the same class and just as rare out here in the prairie states. Alas.

5. If I had a yard with a garden, I would love to grow ARTICHOKES. If my garden was somewhere with the correct temperature range for artichokes.

6. SLEEPING is best au naturel.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to ERRAND DAY BEING OVER, tomorrow my plans include GYM DAY and Sunday, I want to IRONMAN! I'm glad Robert Downey Jr is off drugs and back in movies.
