TGIF

I've been busy.

Celebrated a birthday. Found a replacement for the Chevy. Contemplated remodeling my office.

So, a meme, before you decide I've faded into the ether.

With gratitude to Fond of Snape.

1. There's here and then there's now!

2. Subscribe to a newspaper because reading the news online is hard on the eyes.

3. I love a good book because it's a personal, portable private world.

4. My favorite position is in the recliner.

5. I need to quit procrastinating.

6. I need to start getting dressed earlier in the AM.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to hamburgers and fries, tomorrow my plans include seeing Stardust and Sunday, I want to have beignets for breakfast like I did on my birthday!

Oh, What A Tangled Web We Weave

When first we start kidding ourselves.

I wouldn't be caught dead in polyester. Only natural fabrics for me, you dig?

Now, my kiddo, Extreme Wilderness Girl, introduced me to some high-tech backpacking pants made with a new technology fabric that is all things to everybody.

Light-weight. Tough. Resilient. Water-Proof. Sun-Resistant. Walk 30 miles and have the stove lit before you can unbuckle your belt.

Well, I loved my high-tech backpacking pants so much, I bought more than one pair.

They are light-weight. One remains cool while covered. They have extra material at the knees because, apparently, we, Extreme Wilderness Types, squat down a lot.

I may look like I just tumbled out of the laundry bag, but I am hip because I am HIGH TECH.

But it occurred to me the other day, as I was hanging up my lovely, high tech pants, you know what these feel like ... ?
