A few nights ago, we celebrated my parents 60th anniversary at the fancy restaurant in town.
A group of legislators were seated at the table next to ours.
They were loud.
Drunk.
Obese.
But, oh so important. We could tell by the preening.

The Montana Legislature is in session.
A few nights ago, we celebrated my parents 60th anniversary at the fancy restaurant in town.
A group of legislators were seated at the table next to ours.

This might make one lose faith in democracy.
