Well, Last King of Scotland, I've always liked Forest Whittaker, but this performance seems to be a lot of yelling and eye rolling. A more interesting performance comes from the young white guy in the picture. An altogether, creepy, depressing film - a documentary with sex.
Children of Men is interesting in the subtle filmmaking techniques screenwriters should pay attention to. A lot goes on in the background that advances the story and contributes to mood. A downer film even though some reviews say there is an uplifting ending. Go figure.
I've heard they are both excellent movies. Do you recommend them?
